About Brittany’s Journey to Homesteading
Hello and welcome! I’m Brittany, the heart and hands behind this blog. Shock Family Farm is located in Northwest Missouri. We began in 2017 with a flock of chickens (the gateway drug for livestock). Over the next few years we added some Muscovy ducks, and a couple of Lamancha goats, and more recently a starter flock of registered Finnsheep.
Homesteading, to me, is more than just a lifestyle; it’s about reconnecting with nature, being self-reliant, and rediscovering the traditional skills that our fast-paced world often overlooks. This blog is a window into my world – a place where I share my experiences, triumphs, and challenges as I navigate the rewarding path of homesteading.
